For my 25th birthday, I got an awesome trip to Iceland as a present!! Can you believe it!
It was just the best present ever. I dreamed for so long to go on a trip to Iceland, I was just SO excited with that idea!
While I was planning that trip, I joined an "Iceland facebook group" when a post popped up: Louise was looking for a photographer in Iceland to elope during the time I was there.
I jumped on the occasion and told her I will be there on those dates and I would be honored to capture that special moment for them she was so happy to find someone who speaks her language quickly, so she will be more comfortable. So we started to plan our meeting, the date, where, and all that stuff. We talked a lot before we meet to know each other and to know what exactly they wanted.
When we finally met in this incredible country, for the first day of my trip, I was amazed by literally everything, the colors of the fall, nature, the waterfalls. Iceland is just magic, everything is beautiful and wild, you want to stop the car every mile to take another picture and look at these incredible landscapes.
We decided to shoot at the Golden Circle, which is a popular spot not so far from Reykjavik, and it was easier for them. This location makes me think of Yellowstone because of the geyser, the hot springs, and the volcanic rocks.
We started the photos and I already felt like I was traveling with my friends, and participate in a special moment for them was pretty important for me. We walked together to find the greatest spot, we found a waterfall, hiked between the volcanic rocks, run into a big field...
I like to feel close to the couple I work with, I usually kind of become friends with them every time, it doesn't make me feel like I am working but more like I am sharing a moment with my couple, and helping them to keep their memories.
I felt so lucky to meet this sweet couple, they trusted me for this special moment in their life and let me capture that day for us. I was able to create memories for them that they can show to their grandchildren in 50 years.
I love to think that photos are the only thing you can look at and feel again that passion, that emotion you felt at that moment. This is kind of magic to me.
If you want to chat with me to help you plan your elopement, please do it! I would be honored to be part of your special day, and create memories for you!
