Well, be ready; this is the craziest wedding idea I've ever heard, and I am so happy to have the chance to be part of it! 

I was planning to go to France to document a wedding, which is great because I could spend some time with my family. That was a win-win! The couple from the wedding told me that they have a friend who is getting married the weekend after them and would like to have me document the wedding. My answer: Hell yeeah! BUT what I didn't know was that the groom surprised the bride with a wedding. Crazy right? 

Let me tell you all story: 
Johann emailed me and explained his project: he wants to propose to his girlfriend and get married the day after. I was like, "what the hell?" haha. I told him that this was the craziest idea I had ever heard but also the best and that I wanted so much to be part of that surprise. 
They lived in Toronto, and he planned everything, with some help, without getting caught by her girlfriend. 

Once the day approached, I was so excited, and he told me the Friday (a day before the wedding) that she said YES! But still, she didn't know she was getting married the day after. 
On Saturday morning, he pretended to bring her to a day spa to celebrate, they arrived at the wedding venue, and he told her they were going to get married on that day: then all their loved ones showed up, and it became real. 

When I arrived, she was literally in another world. She couldn't stop smiling and didn't realize what was happening to her. Her bridesmaids planned everything a cute Airbnb with a hot tub to get her relaxed; they picked a few outfits for her to choose her wedding dress, the hairdresser and make-up artist planned as well. 

The first look approached, and it seemed that she still didn't completely realize what was happening to her. The groom was a little stressed out, but once he saw her bride, everything was fine. 

Isabelle didn't know who was invited to her wedding, so every minute was a surprise. This wedding was full of emotion from the beginning to the end. 

The venue and the ceremony happened in the backcountry of France, not far from Nice. The view from the venue was just stunning; the cicadas were singing during the ceremony, the odor of the lavender was floating around, everything was magic.  

The cocktail and the dinner happened outside; nights in the south of France are pretty warm and lovely. The view, the sunset, and the lights at night brought all the magic to the wedding. 

This day will be in my memory and in my heart forever, not just because of that crazy idea that I loved. But because I could feel the love surrounding them. I could identify myself to them because they live far from home as well, and this is in moments like that, you can see the chance you have to have a loving family and friends. They also treated me as a friend and made me feel like I was totally part of their wedding, which really hit me right in my heart.
