You are newly engaged, or you just want photos of your cute couple, but you never did this and you actually don't know anything about how it works, what to do, what to wear... Don't worry, I've got you coverd: I'll give you all my tips to be fully prepare for your photoshoot!
1. plan your outfits
Be sure to know what you want to wear during your session to don't feel stress right before it. There is nothing worse than feeling rushed before the photoshoot. You don't want to have a fight with your husband/fiancé just before capturing your love for each other! Get my "how to wear for a photoshoot"
2. Consider professional hair & makeup
This is the perfect time to take care of yourself, take some "me time" and relax while getting ready for your photoshoot. If this is your engagement session, it will be the chance for you to get to know your make up/hair artist for your wedding.
You will look just perfect for the session!
3. find the perfect location
4. you will feel uncomfortable, but that's ok!
The location is so important! You should think about a place you love, that you have an history with. It will express more in your photos. It can either be an epic place with mountain (Mount Rainer for exemple) and lake (Diablo Lake, Lake Crescent... your name it!) or the pike market in Seattle. The location is up to you, but you will want to think about the light, where the sun set and also maybe you liked a place in Summer but in Winter it can be a total different spot.
So the best thing I can tell you is: pick a location that speaks to you!
Well, you are well dressed, got you hairs and make up done, stress is out. Why don't you go to the restaurant or to the happy hour after your session? You will remember that day as a really good day with a lot of fun and love!
